Gift Guide – For the Gents

Ok, so following on from my ladies gift guide… it’s only right that I do one for the guys too.

Get Active:

The Go Ape vouchers take vouchers to a whole other level. It comes with a headset that you use with the free app to get a virtual tour of the tree top adventure. I had great fun at Go Ape last year, although I did manage to drop my phone whilst swinging through the trees. Learn from my mistake and keep your tech well zipped up!! If you want to see the footage, it’s here on YouTube. I definitely think that experiences are a great gift, and if you pick the experience wisely it may also mean that you can join in too!

Food & Drink:

Sticking with the experiences, something I’ve always fancied doing is distilling my own gin. You can buy gift vouchers for this at Edinburgh Gin Distillery for £75 per person and you take away your own gin with personalised label.

Another idea for gents is the XL Man Box, £39.50, available at notonthehighstreet.com…

Loungewear:

I personally think you can’t go wrong with loungewear, and it’s a step up from the typical gents socks! I love the look of these cotton check pull-ons from Boden, that are currently in the sale at £27.60. Pyjamas is something that I tend to grudge buying for myself, and would always grab a cheap pair… some luxury sleepwear as a gift would be well received in my opinion!

Accessories:

Another high end item that I wouldn’t necessarily buy for myself, but would very much appreciate as a gift is some luxury luggage (I plan to go on more trips in 2017!). I’m guessing that this would also be a good gift for the man in your life. I like this brown leather holdall from Ted Baker, it’s pricey though at £189.

Tech:

If you do have the cash to splash out, then I’m pretty sure most guys would appreciate some tech as a Christmas gift. I’m thinking drones, Sonos system, headphones or a GoPro perhaps… my son had great fun on our summer holiday with my GoPro camera capturing footage of himself jumping into the pool and swimming underwater. Hours of amusement to be had!

On the lower end of the budget, I spotted some phone camera lenses in Oliver Bonas which look great fun for £12 (possibly a bit of a gimmick, and I haven’t tried them so can’t be sure how good they would be). Would be a good stocking filler:
